Roman Reigns Crowned ‘Tribal Chief’ By Afa & Sika

Roman Reigns, Afa & Sika

At Hell In A Cell, Roman Reigns would be crowned ‘Tribal Chief’ and head of the table in the most prestigious way – by the legendary Afa and Sika.

Reigns defended his WWE Universal Championship in the opening contest, and in the first of three Hell In A Cell Matches of the night, against his cousin Jey Uso. The match was the first-ever Hell In A Cell Match to take place with the additional stipulation of being an ‘I Quit’ Match.

Reigns would yet again brutalise his cousin in a contest spanning the best part of 30 minutes, in what was very much a family affair with Jimmy Uso coming to the ring to sympathise and empathise with his twin brother.

A relentless Reigns, though, would retain his title with Paul Heyman watching from ringside, before the ultimate crowning moment – as the Wild Samoans, Afa and Sika, greeted Reigns on the ramp following his victory. Sika Anoa’i is Reigns’ father, and Afa – his uncle.

Following the match, Roman Reigns told The Usos he loved them before leaving the ring. The additional stipulation confirmed on SmackDown meant that if Reigns won, The Usos would have to take orders from Reigns and acknowledge him as The Tribal Chief, else both Usos and their immediate families would be exiled from the legendary family.
