Roman Reigns has commented on potential new faces for The Bloodline and says Naomi could take advantage of being part of the group.
Since Roman Reigns returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2020 after a short hiatus, his new attitude has seen him climb to the apex of the wrestling world as WWE Universal Champion. What has kept him on top however is his association with Paul Heyman and bringing his cousins The Usos into the fold with both Jimmy and Jey now acknowledging Reigns as The Head Of The Table.
Speaking to Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Reigns named another potential recruit to their group – Jimmy Uso’s wife and former SmackDown Women’s Champion, Naomi:
“I do believe if [Naomi] was put in that position, coupled with all of us surrounding her along with Paul Heyman and the rest of our creative brainstorming system that we have and how we craft our narratives, I think we could put her in a good position. It’s just not something we’ve had time to come up with a thorough game plan. If we did, I think she’s definitely a superstar who could step up and take advantage of it.”
Naomi has had something of a stop/start WWE career, hitting the heights twice of becoming SmackDown Women’s Champion. Her second run as champion is more notable as she won the title on The Grandest Stage Of Them All at WrestleMania 33 in 2017 in her hometown of Orlando. She held that title until SummerSlam of that same year when she lost to Natalya.
At the beginning of 2021, Naomi had formed somewhat of a tag team with Lana, with the pair competing together at WrestleMania 37. This team came to an abrupt halt after Lana was released from the company in June. Naomi’s last match in the company at the time of writing came in the women’s Money In The Bank match held in July 2021 which was won by Nikki A.S.H.
Naomi and Jimmy Uso have been together for several years and were married back in January 2014. The husband and wife team have competed together in the company, mainly as a team in the Mixed Match Challenge tournament that was held in 2018.
