Roman Reigns Breaks Character To Surprise Young Fan

He might be in ‘God Mode’ but that didn’t stop Roman Reigns making the day of one young fan during a rare appearance at a WWE live event.

On August 20th the WWE circus rolled into the Canadian Tire Centre, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The show featured a stacked card with a number of Friday Night SmackDown’s biggest stars in action.

In the main event Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns saw off Drew McIntyre and Sheamus to emerge victorious.

On his way backstage, Reigns spotted a young fan in the front row who was celebrating their birthday. In a rare break of character, the Tribal Chief paused to shake hands with the fan and wish them a happy birthday.

In recent months, Roman Reigns has dramatically scaled back his WWE schedule and now rarely appears at live events or wrestles on television. In fact, the match in Ottawa was Reigns’ first at a house show since July 9th. His most recent WWE live event match before that took place on May 22nd.

Roman Reigns is set to defend his championship gold at Clash At The Castle on September 3rd against Drew McIntyre. The show show at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales is set to be WWE’s biggest event in the United Kingdom for three decades.
