Rob Van Dam Doesn’t Have Heat With The Young Bucks

Rob Van Dam AEW

Despite the rumors, Rob Van Dam doesn’t have any known heat with The Young Bucks.

Van Dam made his in-ring AEW debut on Dynamite last week as he suffered a loss to Jack Perry after some chicanry that included a low blow, giving Mr. Monday Night a lot to talk about on his “1 Of A Kind” podcast. RVD reflected on his match, but also took some time to give his doubters a reality check after his “five star” performance in the ring.

In addition, he cleared the air of the old speculation that he and The Young Bucks, who were also on the card at Dynamite, have “heat” with one another, to which RVD said, “What heat with the Bucks?” Van Dam then gave a little backstory to his one incident with Matt and Nick Jackson..

“I guess in WWE they didn’t introduce themselves, which to old school rules … it’s one of the Biblical commandments of the dressing room, especially when you’re new or you don’t know everybody. You’re supposed to introduce yourself.

“I just pointed that out, ‘Hey they didn’t shake my hand,’ or whatever but I also did throw in something that could be taken as an insult, which I didn’t own up to at first … I did say something about them looking like two high schoolers so that was provoking.”

Van Dam later heard that The Young Bucks did the same thing to Booker T and Dustin Rhodes and both called the two out on it as well.

Rob Van Dam Found The Young Bucks’ Reaction To Their “Heat” Hilarious

Van Dam thought how The Young Bucks responded to his, Booker T’s and Rhodes’ admonishment was pretty clever and funny.

“Then I saw while these two guys were in Japan, one of them is doing the “RVD” thing when they come out, and the other one’s doing Booker[‘s “Five Time” taunt].

“I thought that was great, yeah, but that’s the whole ‘heat,’ so I know of anyway. I thought that was great that they were capitalizing on it like that.”
