It has been confirmed that Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes have left IMPACT Wrestling.

The news was first reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider and has since been confirmed by Dave Meltzer.

The pair had been working without a contract and made their final appearance for the company on last week’s AXS show. Their latest agreement ended with the wrapping up of the storyline between the duo and Sami Callihan, where Callihan took out RVD with a chair and then Forbes with his Cactus Special.

Van Dam had returned to IMPACT last year, after a stint on the independent circuit following his departure from WWE in 2014. After initially linking up with Tommy Dreamer and Sabu for an ECW reunion angle, the 49-year-old’s second run failed to hit the heights of his first from a decade previously.

Forbes also signed with the company in 2019, with her highly sexualised persona alongside Van Dam turning heads along the way.

At the time of writing there is currently no news as to where the real-life couple will end up. Although a ‘one and done’ kind of special appearance with WWE, isn’t beyond the realm of possibility for Rob Van Dam. However, it remains to be seen as to whether an appearance would be likely for Forbes.
