Road Dogg had some issues with a former NXT talent and said his stubbornness was a significant problem.
Road Dogg was a producer and trainer who looked at the strengths and weaknesses of upcoming talent in WWE. One talent he initially had significant issues with was former WWE Champion Seth Rollins.
The WWE Hall of Famer spoke in a special live Q&A session on AdFreeShows.com about advising Rollins when he was still a rookie on NXT. Road Dogg explained that while Rollins was impressive in the ring, he seemed to have a problem with taking advice from authority. This all came from Rollins apparently not wanting to change the build-up to one of his corner manoeuvres.
“His bad habit was not saying, ‘Okay, thank you sir,’ or whatever and being respectful and then not doing what I said like every other young wrestler. At least pretend to respect what I’m telling you, you know what I mean?”
Rollins graduated from NXT and eventually debuted on the main roster as part of The Shield. After turning his back on the ‘Hounds of Justice’ Rollins embarked on a singles run that has so far taken him to four World Championship’s a number of acclaimed matches against WWE’s elite.
Rollins is currently involved in a feud with Riddle on Monday Night Raw, recently losing a tag team match to the star. Although there has yet to be any official confirmation, it has been reported that the two men will meet in a singles match at SummerSlam.
