“Road Dogg” Brian James is due to be released from hospital today (March 30th) following treatment for a suspected heart attack.

It was initially reported that James was being treated in hospital on March 27th, with his wife Tracy commenting that doctors believed that her husband had suffered a heart attack the previous Thursday.

James’ brother Scott Armstrong recently provided an update on his brother’s recovery, posting on social media that he was due to undergo tests on his heart on Monday.

Again posting on Facebook, Tracy has announced that the WWE Hall of Famer is set to be discharged from hospital later today.

“Wanna give everybody an update I just got the best birthday ever!! my husband has no blockages and he’s getting to come home today we still have some doctor visits to take him to but his heart is good. Thank you all so much for all the prayers I do believe in that.”

Brian James is most well known for his time in the WWE as part of the highly successful New Age Outlaws tag team and D-Generation X.

Since moving away from being an active performer, James has worked backstage for WWE since 2014 in a variety of roles, including as a writer and producer.

Everyone at Inside The Ropes would like to wish Brian James a full and speedy recovery.
