RK-Bro will defend their RAW Tag Team Titles against MVP and Bobby Lashley on the September 13th edition of the red brand.
The most recent episode of Monday Night RAW was bookended by a suitably chaotic Tag Team Team Turmoil match.
The show kicked off with the New Day interrupting some verbal sparring between RK-Bro and MVP and Bobby Lashley. With Lashley and MVP upset and being defeated the previous week, they vowed to earn themselves a shot at the Tag Team Titles.
Once the match got going New Day saw off the Viking Raiders, Jinder Mahal & Veer, Lucha House Party and Mace & T-Bar. However, the former RETIBUTION members were less than impressed with their elimination and attempted to take out Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods and their next opponents Mustafa Ali and Mansoor. Following a mighty beatdown, Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce announced that the match was on hold.
Fast forward to the main event and the match continued with the New Day seeing off Ali and Mansoor. With Woods and Kingston clearly suffering after the beatdown and their lengthy run in the match, they were quickly beaten by AJ Styles and Omos. This led to the grand finale between the former champions and MVP and Bobby Lashley.
After members of both teams ended up confronting a watching RK-Bro, Lashley delivered a devastating Spear on AJ Styles to pick up the win.
After the match, Omos hit a two-handed Chokeslam on Lashley before Orton finished the job with an RKO.
Elsewhere on the show, it was announced that Bobby Lashley will defend his WWE Championship against
Randy Orton at Extreme Rules.
Meanwhile, Sheamus defeated Drew McIntyre to earn a shot at Damian Priest’s United States Title at the September 26th event.
