A former Tag Team Champion is very grateful for the advice given to them by AJ Styles.
The surprise alignment between The Phenomenal One and Omos was first seen on WWE TV in October 2020, where many were puzzled as to why the former WWE Champion was with the former bodyguard of Raw Underground.
AJ Styles Helps Omos Unleash His Killer Instinct In WWE
The alliance would prove to be successful, as Styles and Omos would defeat The New Day on Night one of WrestleMania to become the new Raw Tag Team Champions.
Along with the partnership in the ring providing multiple victories, Styles would also mentor Omos behind the scenes, helping The Nigerian Giant become even more indimidating.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Omos described how AJ Styles would teach him how to look like a killer, and has carried that advice with him to this day:
“Being vicious. That’s the thing, that’s what separates AJ from everybody else. AJ knows you are meant to be vicious, and you see it in his eyes when he truly wants to kill somebody. That’s what I learned from him as you know, when I was also under him, he mentored me, which he still does today because he’s one of my closest friends. The look like you want to kill somebody, that is art. It’s not about what you do, it’s what’s in here what you conveyed in your eyes. And that was something I learned from him and I still do today, looking like I want to kill this guy, I want to murder him.”
Following the breakup of the partnership with The Phenomenal One, Omos would be placed in a series of high profile singles matches, which included a WrestleMania match against Brock Lesnar.
