Rikishi expresses his anger over recent Roman Reigns rumors.
Rumors recently swirled that WWE and TKO wanted to reconstruct Roman Reigns’ contract and cut it down from $15 million per year. However, The Wrestling Observer then reported that any discussions regarding the former Undisputed Champion getting a pay cut were false. However, this didn’t stop Rikishi from expressing his anger about the reports.
On the Rikishi Fatu Off the Top podcast, the Hall of Famer expressed that Roman Reigns has main evented multiple WrestleMania’s, and will continue to do so in the future. He told fans to compute how much WWE and TKO earned from all of it, with The Tribal Chief being the headliner in the majority of them.
“I’m gonna speak on it. I’ll talk about that, now you’re trying to cut Roman Reigns, Roman Reigns feet. Here’s the guy, that main event WrestleMania, six main events, and more to come cause he still look great, he can still draw, y’all miss him. Y’all do the math, every WrestleMania. What WWE and TKO and all, you do the math, that’s a lot of money. That’s a bunch of, bunch of money. And guess whose face was on that, leading that?”
The Hall of Famer also pointed out the importance of other Bloodline members like Jey Uso and Naomi.
Rikishi Accuses WWE Of Erasing Roman Reigns And The Rest of The Anoa’i Family’s Legacy
In the same podcast, Rikishi stated that if WWE was done with The Bloodline, they should just “move on,” but he wouldn’t let the Stamford-based promotion erase the Anoa’i family’s legacy and contributions from the business.
“If you’re done with it, say it. You want to move on, say it. But d**n it, I’ll be d***ed if I’m gonna sit back, and you try to erase the history of our family, of what we put into this business. Give us our flowers, or not, I’ll tell you what. Giving us our flowers, we’re taking it. That’s one thing that boils Kishi’s blood up, is when you start to disrespect the family of what we’ve done for this business, this industry.”
