Rikishi Makes Big Call About Son Jimmy Uso’s WWE Future

Rikishi has broken his silence on his son Jimmy Uso’s pro-wrestling future.

Despite a successful run since the beginning of this year, Jimmy Uso suffered a humiliating loss against his younger brother, Solo Sikoa, on the July 12th edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.

While his wife Naomi won the Women’s title at Evolution and brother Jey Uso continues to enjoy a successful singles run, Jimmy Uso has yet to find his rhythm. Recently, speaking to The Wrestling Classic in a new interview, Rikishi shared his thoughts on his son Jimmy Uso’s future.

Well, I always say Big Jim is- he’s a very talented kid, one that’s,- in due time I think Big Jim’s gonna find his way out there and win the hearts into the fans. I mean, he’s already done (that), but to be able to see the boys get off and do their own deals as single competitors, you know, as a wrestler, it’s a challenging feeling, but it’s a feeling that you must try, right? Because you don’t want to be that guy that we’re popular as a tag team.

But now as pro wrestlers, you want to venture out there and you want to try and if it flops well then that’s what it is but if not you never know, but you know I can say this Yeet organically just became popular, it wasn’t like they put fire up underneath me to make him be that and so there it is, so for Big Jim we’ll see what Big Jim has in the future.”

‘Big Jim’ was recently rumored to reunite with his brother as ‘The Usos’. However, the reunion has not yet taken place, and Uso is often seen pairing up with the Samoan Werewolf Jacob Fatu on SmackDown following his recent face turn.

RIkishi Shares His Honest Thoughts On Charlotte Flair

Earlier this year, while speaking on his Off the Top podcast, Rikishi revealed his honest thoughts on the 14-time Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.

No, I wouldn’t. There’s so many other wrestlers before her time. Had they been young enough to be able to go, they could have kept up with her. They weren’t built like her, as far as pushing her as far as Superstar status. There’s a few. Miss Jackie [Jacqueline Moore], Can you imagine if Miss Texas was young and in this era? Ivory, back in the day. These names that I’m throwing out there were never really pushed, but they were so good of workers that they were able to make other superstars.

They danced a lot with Trish Stratus. Danced a lot with Lita. All these guys are still relevant today, but you don’t hear too much about women legends like that… If they were in this era, I would love to see Jazz — she would be another good Contender to rock with some of these new chicks.”

“I’m a big fan of Nikkita Lyons. Hopefully these girls today get a chance to sit in the same locker room as some of the legends I mentioned. You can learn so much from them. It’s not just about how your moves look, it’s about making every moment mean something. Emotion, storytelling, facials, those are what truly connect.”
