AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone and Kamille are possibly done with their friendship.
The November 27th episode of Dynamite began with Shelton Benjamin securing a win over Mark Briscoe in the Continental Classic. Tony Schiavone’s interview with Mercedes Mone soon followed it.
However, things took a turn for Mone when her closest ally Kamille turned on her. While Mone boasted about her recent win over Kris Statlander from Full Gear and celebrated her title defense, she soon turned toward insulting remarks for Kamille.
After enduring weeks of insults and being close to being fired, fans finally saw Kamille burst and turn on Mercedes Mone. Pushing her away, Kamille claimed that she could not be fired since she was quitting the Mone Corporation.
The alliance only lasted a mere four months since the former NWA World Women’s Champion’s debut in July. However, there are no current updates on what is planned next for Kamille in AEW.
Later in the night, Chris Jericho successfully defended his ROH World Championship against Tomohiro Ishii.
AEW Grand Slam Australia Venue Changed
Earlier this year in August, Tony Khan’s promotion announced their upcoming show in Australia on 15th February. While the AEW Grand Slam show was initially set to take place at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, which had a capacity of 50,000 seats, it has now changed venues.
With ticket sales not reaching the numbers that the company had hoped for, the event was expected to move to a smaller venue. On November 27th, the promotion informed fans who had bought tickets for the event about a venue change.
Wrestle Radio AU posted a screenshot of the email on social media, confirming that Grand Slam 2025 will now take place in the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, which has a capacity of approximately 13,000.
