It has been reported that Ridge Holland was among a number of Superstars who visited Big E in hospital after being involved in the incident which saw him seriously injured.

Posting on social media, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, has reported that Ridge Holland visited Big E in hospital after being involved in the incident which resulted in the former World Champion breaking his neck.

The report adds that Holland was far from alone, and he was joined by “several” other members of the SmackDown roster.

In the hours after the incident, Big E shared a short video from hospital thanking fans for their well wishes before confirming that he had broken his neck. In a new update, he has revealed that despite there being two fractures, he will not require surgery. The New Day star explained that there was found to be no damage to his spinal cord or ligaments in his neck.

“So I got some really good news all things considered. The C1 and C6 are indeed fractured, non-displacement though, which is a good thing. I don’t have any damage to my spinal cord. No ligament damage and no surgery, which I’m very thankful for. Pro-tip, if you’re going to break your neck, do it in Birmingham. They’ve been great. Everyone here has been great. For real, it’s meant a ton to me that so many of you have been so kind and reached out or stopped in to see me. I feel like I sound like a broken record, but I’m very grateful and I’m gonna be alright. It’s a blessing,”

On SmackDown Big E was teaming with Kofi Kingston as the pair took on Ridge Holland and Sheamus. During the match Big E ended up on the outside, but was quickly found by Holland. The British star then delivered an Overhead Belly-to-Belly Suplex to his rival, but instead of landing flat on his back, Big E landed on his head and neck.

The former World Champion wasn’t involved in the match again, as commentary mentioned that he was being tended to by medics. During the following commercial break, the star was taken out of the arena on a stretcher.
