WWE Superstar Ridge Holland did not have the best night at the office at Day 1, and now the Englishman has shown off the scars of war following the event.
WWE Day 1 took place on New Year’s Day with plenty of action to keep everyone happy as the company ushered in 2022 with a bang. Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch retained her title against Liv Morgan and WWE Hall Of Famer Edge returned to action defeating The Miz and being joined by his fellow Hall Of Famer and wife, Beth Phoenix.
The night’s main event was changed at late notice as Roman Reigns contracted COVID-19 and was therefore unable to compete. To compensate The Beast Incarnate for losing his shot at the Universal Title, Lesnar was inserted into the WWE Championship match instead.
Now a Fatal Five-Way match featuring Lesnar, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley, and Big E, the match closed the show with Brock Lesnar coming out on top to begin his sixth reign as WWE Champion.
Before the pay-per-view – or rather ‘premium live event’ began – there was a match to get the crowd warmed up on the Kick-Off show. Sheamus and Ridge Holland teamed up to take on Cesaro and Ricochet in a tag team bout.
It looked as though the match was going to begin with both members of The Bar facing off with one another but Sheamus immediately tagged in the Englishman to go up against Cesaro.
After The Swiss Cyborg delivered a backbreaker to his opponent, Ricochet entered the ring to deliver some tandem offense, being lifted up by Cesaro to flip onto a prone Ridge Holland. However, the move did not go to plan as Ricochet’s knee made brutal contact with Ridge Holland’s nose.
The former rugby player held his face and was dripping blood as he tagged out of the match and left the ring, with commentary announcing shortly after that Holland wasn’t going to return to the bout as he suffered what they called a “broken nose.”
Now Ridge Holland has taken to social media to show off his newly rearranged face and a broken nose looks like the correct diagnosis.

Sheamus wrestled the remainder of the match without his partner, and despite being outnumbered, was able to gain a victory after disposing of Ricochet with White Noise outside the ring before pinning Cesaro following a Brogue Kick.
