Riddle is on his way to wrestle at the “biggest party of the summer” in Nashville against a top Raw Superstar.
On the June 17th edition of SmackDown Riddle failed to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship despite pushing Roman Reigns all the way.
From there the Original Bro looked to find redemption at Money In The Bank, he found himself once again on the losing end. However, it appears that all is not lost as it now been reported that the former United States Champion is heading for a match against a top Raw star at SummerSlam.
According to Dave Metzler for Wrestling Observer Radio, Riddle will face Seth “Freakin” Rollins at the summer spectacular.
WWE planted the seeds for this feud before Money In The Bank when Rollins delivered a curb stomp to Riddle after his match against Omos. Riddle returned the favour by giving Rollins an RKO from the top of the ladder during the men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. The Original Bro surprised Rollins again with another RKO this past week on Raw.
With SummerSlam just weeks away WWE have already confirmed that Roman Reigns will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Brock Lesnar in the main event. Elsewhere, YouTube celebrity star Logan Paul will reportedly go one-on-one with The Miz.
