WWE United States Champion Riddle has orated his belief that a match with ‘The Destroyer of Gods’ Parker Boudreaux is more likely than a clash with ‘The Beast Incarnate.’
When it became clear that Boudreaux was WWE bound, fans began to compare his likeness and physique to a young Brock Lesnar who first made a splash on the company’s main stage in 2002 when he tore through talent under the guidance of Paul Heyman.
However, the similarity hasn’t been lost on those within the industry either as current Raw Superstar Riddle has already handpicked the young star as the next big thing in professional wrestling. Now Riddle has joined Vicente Beltran in order to state that a match with the new recruit has more potential of occuring than a bout with the former WWE Champion:
“It seems more realistic to get a match with Parker. I’ve seen Parker, talked to Parker and the conversation went a lot better than it did with Brock. Parker is a young kid, he is hungry, he wants to sink his teeth into this, and he is making the right moves in the sense he is presenting himself to the world properly and he seems hungry, he seems that he is trying to learn as fast as he can so he can be a part of the show as soon as he can and if you are hungry and you can bring something different to the table you are going to be somebody in this sport. I think he brings all that so you never know, only time will tell, but right now I think that Parker guy, that Boudreaux guy… I don’t know if that’s the name he’s going to stick with or whatever because I think he called himself “The Destroyer of Gods”, I don’t know if that’s gonna make it and pass the writing team, you never know. The guy looks phenomenal he has a great presence and only time will tell but I think he is going to be “The Next Big Thing.”
Riddle’s history of calling out Brock Lesnar came full circle when the pair met backstage at the 2020 Royal Rumble with the latter confronting his former MMA colleague. Following months of calling out the talent on social media, Lesnar warned the former NXT Tag Team Champion to stop mentioning his name as there was zero chance of them working together.
Parker Boudreaux was one of several names who reported to the WWE Performance Centre on February 23 as the newest class of recruits. The group included Bronson Rechsteiner, Zoe Stark and Anthony Henry.
