WWE’s The Bump have confirmed an injury to Riddle that will render him unable to compete at SummerSlam this weekend.
‘The Original Bro’ was confirmed on WWE’s weekly talk show to have suffered a “brachial plexus injury”, more commonly known as a stinger. He’ll therefore be out of in-ring competition until further notice.
Kayla Braxton broke the news on the show’s latest broadcast, joined by Matt Camp:
“We have breaking news and here it is, Matt. After that attack on Riddle by Seth Rollins on Monday, Riddle has suffered a brachial plexus injury, which is a really bad stinger that has resulted in some significant weakness. As of now, he is medically disqualified until full strength returns and as a result of this, we can officially break here that Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins vs. Riddle at SummerSlam has been postponed.”

Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins ambushed Riddle on Monday’s Raw, delivering two Curb Stomps; one on the ringside mats, and the other dropping the former United States Champion’s throat across the steps. The RK-Bro man had teamed with The Street Profits just moments before in a loss to The Bloodline.
Suffering the injury will mark Riddle’s first absence from WWE since joining the company in 2018. The former UFC fighter has held the United States, Raw Tag Team, and NXT Tag Team Champion since signing, winning the red brand’s doubles titles alongside injured partner Randy Orton during his SummerSlam debut last August.
It’s unknown if Seth Rollins will still compete at SummerSlam or if he’ll miss the event entirely. ‘The Visionary’ wrestled Edge during last year’s ‘Biggest Party of the Summer’.
