Ricochet appears to have made his final appearance on WWE programming.
Appearing in multiple segments during the June 10th episode of Raw, the former Intercontinental Champion first made his presence known when he attacked Bron Breakker to prevent Breakker from spearing Ilja Dragunov through the barricade after their match had ended. Irate with what transpired earlier in the night, Breakker tracked down Ricochet and attacked him in the parking lot.
Thrown into multiple vehicles by Breakker including being lawn-darted into a truck, Breakker picked up Ricochet and slammed him through the windscreen of a parked car.
Seen watching on in horror, Ricochet’s fiancee and Raw ring announcer Samantha Irvin rushed to the back and joined her partner as he was loaded into the back of an ambulance. Irvin joined her fiance in the ambulance as the vehicle left and missed the end of the show. Pat McAfee served as ring announcer for the main event in Irvin’s absence.
Ricochet Taken Off TV Indefinitely
Prior to Raw going on the air, news broke that the former Intercontinental Champion had given his notice and would not be renewing his contract when it expired, which has been previously reported as some point in the summer. Further reports added that the Raw star would be making a final appearance on the June 10th broadcast to tie up the loose ends in the storyline he was involved in and to write him off of TV.
Due to his previous matches with the likes of Adam Cole, Will Ospreay and Kota Ibushi, the former United States Champion is expected to receive a significant amount of interest from rival promotion AEW when his contract expires. Ospreay has been very vocal on social media about wanting to rekindle the rivalry.
