‘The One and Only’ Ricochet has vowed that a change is coming to his career after yet another loss to RETRIBUTION on December 21.
Appearing on Raw Talk following his defeat at the hands of T-BAR, an emotional Ricochet promised that something had to and would change and that he couldn’t carry on like he had been any longer:
“At the end of the day, I want to get up here and want to tell you guys so badly that it’s just another bump in the road and every time you fall off the horse you gotta get back on. I want to say that so badly, but honestly, Charly? I’m pissed. I’m angry. I’m upset. Every time I fight, it doesn’t matter how hard I fight. I always end up the same way, which is some sort of pain. Every single time.”
The star then made a shocking confession about where his future may lay, stating that in order to turn his fortunes around, he may be tempted to join RETRIBUTION:
“If you would’ve asked me [if I’d join Retribution] a week ago, I would’ve confidently told you no. But now, now the more that I sit and I think about it. That’s the problem alone, I have to sit and think about it. I have to figure out what it is within myself why I continue to fail. I couldn’t hold onto the U.S. Championship for more than a couple of weeks. I couldn’t even touch Brock Lesnar. I couldn’t beat the Hurt Business and now I can’t beat Retribution. Something has got to change.
I want to believe [that I can face them]. Something’s gotta change. I don’t know what that is. I’ve got to figure that out and I feel like I’m on the way. If I stay the same, the same things gonna happen, which is someone standing over me and me looking up at the lights. Every single night it’s the same, so something has got to change.”
Prior to their bout on Monday Night Raw, T-BAR had teased the addition of Ricochet to the stable on Twitter with Mustafa Ali joining in on the speculation.
Ricochet seems to have adopted a ‘if you can’t beat them, join them’ mentality after his many losses in recent weeks. His last victory was over one month ago on WWE Main Event against Jeff Hardy, however, he has yet to defeat any member of the vigilante group.
