Ricochet names his WWE dream, to outlast 29 other Superstars and win the Royal Rumble.
While winning the annual match guarantees a World Title match at WrestleMania, the high-flyer believes that the victory in January means more than any championship could.
Speaking with Sporting News, the former Intercontinental Champion made his goal very clear when talking about future aspirations in the company.
“One thing I will do, win a Royal Rumble. I’m winning a Royal Rumble”
When asked why winning a Royal Rumble is so important to him, the former United States Champion described the feeling of accomplishment he would get from winning the battle royal, no matter his entry number:
“All of it. The opportunity, the prestige, what it gets you, but also, I feel like one thing that the Royal Rumble shows is the will, the determination, the guts, what you’re willing to go through to accomplish something. The Rey Mysterios, Shawn Michaels, doing it all, I don’t have to be first and do the whole thing, you know what I mean? If I come out first, I still plan on winning. I feel like with what Ricochet is capable of doing. I feel like that’s no problem.
I feel like the Royal Rumble, especially if you come out early, shows that tenacity and just everything about what it takes to win, and it’s always been my favorite event. Having everybody out there fighting over something, I love it. Obviously, like you said, everyone wants to be World Champion. I’m sure everyone wants to win the Royal Rumble, for sure, but even more, I want to win the Royal Rumble.”
When Did Ricochet Debut In WWE?
The highlight of the night first debuted on the main roster in 2019, and has since competed in 4 Royal Rumble matches. Despite being known for his death-defying manoeuvres, there is one move in his repertoire that he has since retired.
Whilst Ricochet is yet to win a Royal Rumble, the Raw star is starting to make a name for himself for memorable moments in the match. Back in January 2023, the human highlight reel would collide in mid-air with Logan Paul. The multiple interactions between the two Superstars would lead to a match a SummerSlam, with Paul being victorious.
