Ricochet Addresses Likelihood Of Heel Turn In AEW

Could AEW fans see a heel Ricochet at some point soon?

Known for his high-flying manoeuvres and feats of athleticism, Ricochet’s signature spots generally receive a more positive response from the crowd, as was seen during his time in WWE where he was continually booked as a babyface. However, now that he is in AEW, there is the potential to undergo a change in character due to the increase in creative freedom.

While appearing on The Babyfaces Podcast, the recent signee stated that while he does not believe that there are strictly good guys and bad guys in wrestling, he has a more positive outlook that resonates through his onscreen persona:

“I think everybody is just kind of an extension of who they feel they are. So I feel like, for me, for example, I’m not afraid to tell somebody to shut up and smack them in their mouths. At the same time, I feel like there aren’t really good guys and bad guys. Everyone has their story and how they tell it. People can resonate with that. Maybe one of these days my story will be told differently than how I feel now. Maybe I will feel differently later, so who knows, but right now, I feel great. I feel good.

It’s hard to really get me down. It’s always been hard since in my real life, my wrestling life, it’s hard to get me down. It’s hard to really get on my bad side. Sure, I will communicate with you. We will talk about it and we’ll fight if we need to. I’ve always been, if not for the fans and not for the people, I wouldn’t be where I’m at. I’m not afraid to touch Will Ospreay or whomever it is. If we got a problem, we can squash it right now however we need to squash it, but good guy, bad guy, it’s different. It’s all how you feel in the moment and I might feel differently later.”

Ricochet Sends Message To Will Ospreay

While there are multiple first-time matches available for the high-flyer in AEW, fans are waiting for the inevitable rematch between Ricochet and Will Ospreay. Letting Ospreay know that the match is still at the forefront of his mind, Ricochet sent a message to his former rival.
