Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat will team with multi-time World Tag Team Champions FTR when he laces up his boots once more this November!

Ricky Steamboat’s return bout will see the WWE Hall of Famer and FTR take on Jay Lethal, Brock Anderson, and a mystery partner.

The match, as announced over the weekend, will be promoted by Big Time Wrestling on Sunday, 27 November. It will mark Ricky Steamboat’s first in-ring contest since June 2010, where he and his son Richie defeated Trent Barreta and Caylen Croft on an FCW card.

Announcing his intentions of returning to the ring following legendary foe Ric Flair doing the same, Steamboat’s return was made official on 15 September. At 69-years-old, it makes him only four years younger than ‘The Nature Boy’ is; though he’s not had nearly as gruelling a career, Ricky will have learned what to do and what not to do when wrestling at this age.

Heralded as one of the most influential pro wrestlers of all time, Ricky Steamboat is best known for his run in the World Wrestling Federation, where he held the Intercontinental Championship once. He captured the title in a critically-acclaimed match vs. Randy Savage at WrestleMania III.

Steamboat hadn’t wrestled regularly since 1994 before he made a brief comeback in 2009. Predominantly wrestling on the house show circuit, the two-time WCW World Television Champion managed to enjoy a beloved match opposite Chris Jericho at the Backlash 2009 that saw him wrestle like it was the 1980s all over again.
