Ricky Starks Will Get His Championship Shot Against MJF
Despite being banged up with both his shoulder and ribs taped up, Ricky Starks grabbed the win after landing three spears on Ethan Page.
While the match was happening, Stokely Hathaway — who was ringside — ended up getting ejected after he pulled Page out of the way.

With the win, Starks will now get a chance to win the AEW World Championship, which currently belongs to MJF, at the December 14, 2022 AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming. With the title defense, it will be MJF‘s first scheduled one since winning the title at AEW Full Gear from Jon Moxley.
For Starks, he advanced to the finals after taking Lance Archer and Brian Cage, while Page took out Eddie Kingston and Bandido.
In other news related to Ricky Starks, he recently took part in an interview on the “Watching The Throne” podcast, where he spoke about a Kanye West song that he would like to use in All Elite Wrestling, despite the controversy surrounding the rap megastar.
“My goal is to get the rights to play ‘Touch The Sky’ at least once — at least once — for one of my matches. That’s the goal. I’m putting it out there. I’m manifesting this to happen. Honestly, that’s what I want. That’s what I want out of this whole thing. I think the day that I get that, I’m pretty much going to set Twitter on fire.”
The potential is there, especially with Tony Khan’s resume of handing out cash to land the rights to multiple songs for his talent, with the most notable being “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry’s “Tarzan Boy” theme, who is by Baltimora.
