Ricky Starks Clarifies AEW Status Following Recent Rumors

Ricky Starks in AEW

Ricky Starks set the record straight regarding his absence from AEW.

The March 30th edition of AEW Collision saw Ricky Starks and Big Bill compete for the first time since losing the AEW World Tag Team Championship to Darby Allin and Sting. In a quarter-final match in the AEW World Tag title tournament, the duo took on Dante and Darius Martin of Top Flight.

Unfortunately, however, the finish did not go according to plan. In the end, Darius ended up pinning Starks off a standard DDT and ringside medical trainers checked on Starks after the match. As reported by Fightful Select, this was not the planned finish or even victors as Starks and Bill were meant to advance to face FTR.

Ricky Starks later took to social media to indicate that he was fine and that stopping the match had simply been a precaution, but the star hasn’t appeared on AEW television since the incident, leading fans to wonder whether he is indeed injured.

Is Ricky Starks Injured?

When news broke that Starks had been seen in Jacksonville, Florida to be seen by AEW physicians, Starks responded that he was in town for his annual physical before insisting that he hasn’t been injured. He wrote:

Yeah because everyone had to do their annual physical.

To ease anyone’s mind, I’m not injured. Never was. Pick another narrative pleaseeeee

Back in January, Natalya shared footage of Ricky Starks training at the Hart Family Dungeon run by herself and husband TJ Wilson.
