Ricky Starks Addresses Rumours Regarding Wrestling Outside AEW

Ricky Starks is not going to let his career dwindle away.

The former World Tag Team Champion hasn’t been seen on AEW programming for almost eight months now, and despite Tony Khan commenting on his future in the promotion, his absence has kept fans guessing.

Starks was last on television on March 30th in a match against Top Flight on Collision. Since then he has wrestled once again QT Marshall at a BTW Welcome To Paradise on indie show on May 31st.

This lengthy absence has left many fans wondering what is going on with Starks and Tony Khan’s promotion. As rumours circulated about his ongoing creative differences with the promotion, Ricky Starks recently addressed them online and shared his opinion on it. With still no clarity on his future, fans wonder what is next for the popular star.

Ricky Starks Makes Surprise Appearance At GCW

At GCW Dream One held at the American Dream Mall on November 23rd, the AEW Star made a surprise appearance.

Entering the show via an escalator complete with a Louis Vitton bag, Starks interrupted the introduction for Matt Cardona.

Starks then grabbed a microphone and continued to cut a passionate promo about his current status within the wrestling business. He thanked the audience for their reaction to his appearance before going on to state that at 34 years old and in peak health, he refused to be sidelined or watch his career fade away and is determined to take charge of his future.

He then disclosed he was returning to his roots before reminding everyone why he is “Absolute Ricky ‘F***in’’ Starks.” Starks punctuated his statement by delivering a Spear to Jimmy Lloyd, grabbing his bag, and making his exit.

Later in the night, Cardona blasted Starks for “whining” which went ono the set a match between the two at GCW Highest in the Room on December 14th.
