Injured WWE Superstar Rick Boogs posted a new video of himself following surgery for the torn quad he suffered during his WrestleMania 38 match.
In the opening match of night one of WrestleMania 38, Rick Boogs teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura to challenge the Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.
With the challengers in the ascendency, Boogs had both Jimmy and Jey Uso in a fireman’s carry position before his leg appeared to buckle beneath him. After this, Boogs quickly rolled out of the ring, and the match was swiftly brought to a close. After the bout, Boogs was being attended to by medics at ringside before being helped backstage.
“From the highest of highs to lowest of lows. Having my beautiful wife with me to experience my first Wrestlemania. Getting the incredible opportunity to open the show! Being able to demonstrate brute strength in front of millions of viewers!
“Unfortunately, the doctor told me my quad was too strong for the tendon and it was flexing so hard, it ripped the tendon totally off the bone. I’m still incredibly grateful for the experience and for all the love and support. History proves I will come back bigger, better, and stronger. IT’S A MINDSET”
According to a recent report from PWInsider, Rick Boogs underwent successful surgery in Birmingham, AL last week. The report stated that he was headed home to begin his road to recovery.
Now, in a video update posted to his YouTube channel entitled “Hospital Bed Ridden to UNSTOPPABLE FORCE,” Rick Boogs can be seen successfully getting himself around on crutches set to the song “No Easy Way Out” from the Rocky IV soundtrack.
Rick Boogs is no stranger to doing whatever he can to keep himself in peak physical condition as he once admitted to eating cat food to increase protein in his diet in order to build muscle.
