It appears that Rick Boogs has suffered a serious injury during his WrestleMania debut teaming with Shinsuke Nakamura.
In the opening match of night one of WrestleMania 38, Rick Boogs teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura to challenge the Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.
With the challengers in the ascendency, Boogs had both Jimmy and Jey Uso in a fireman’s carry position before his leg appeared to buckle beneath him. After this, Boogs quickly rolled out of the ring, and the match was swiftly brought to a close.
The Usos teamed up on Nakamura to deliver a Superkick and a top rope splash, followed up with the 1D. The finish of the match appeared rushed and it was speculated that it was altered on the fly due to the suspected injury. After the bout, Boogs was being attended to by medics and ringside, before being helped backstage.
It has now been reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Boogs has suffered a suspected torn quad.
It was later confirmed by WWE during the WrestleMania broadcast that the injury will require surgery.
Early diagnosis on Boogs is torn quad. Hopefully it's not that bad.

Elsewhere on the night, Drew McIntyre overcame Happy Corbin, before cutting through two of the ring ropes as he attempted to take out Madcap Moss.
Meanwhile, Logan Paul and The Miz defeated The Mysterios in tag team action. After Paul turned in an impressive display on his debut, Miz scored the win with the Skull Crushing Finale. However, the biggest story came after the bell, as Miz turned on Paul leaving him laying with a Skull Crushing Finale.
Bianca Belair also earned revenge on Becky Lynch for her defeat at SummerSlam by battling her way to victory and and the Raw Women’s Championship. In a keenly fought encounter, Belair grabbed the win after hitting the KOD in the middle of the ring.
