TNA wrestler Rich Swann has been found guilty of public intoxication and causing a disturbance following his arrest back in June 2024.
As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Swann appeared in court in Florida on Wednesday, September 4th and issued a “nolo contendere plea”, which is where the defendant neither admits nor disputes the charges.
After entering the plea, the court found Swann guilty of the charges, fined him $203 and was ordered to serve six months probation. Swann was also fined $285.38 in related fees. PWInsider states that once the charges have been paid, the case will be closed.
Rich Swann Arrested In June 2024
In late August, news broke of Rich Swann’s June arrest. The incident took place in Altamonte Springs, Florida, where Swann attempted to forcefully enter a resident’s home after mistaking the address for his own. The owner of the apartment announced that he had a gun and told Swann to leave. While the wrestler did cause damage to the door with the attempted forcible entry, the resident chose to not press charges.
Police later found Swann in an intoxicated state and placed him under arrest as another resident contacted the police. The woman claimed that Swann followed her to her door after being approached by the wrestler. Swann admitted to consumption of alcohol, was arrested and released on a $250 bond. In the state of Florida, public intoxication and causing a disturbance is a misdemeanour offence.
After being informed of the arrest, TNA suspended Swann and the former World Champion. Swann has since entered rehab and recently posted that he had been sober for 60 days.
In April 2025, it was confirmed that Rich Swann parted ways with TNA following the expiry of his contract.
