It has been reported that Ric Flair was supposed to make his AEW return, but the plans for his appearance have been scrapped.
This Saturday’s Collision in Charlotte, North Carolina, will spotlight a special homecoming for legendary tag team The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express. Wrestling icons Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson are set to appear at the Bojangles Coliseum in a segment originally intended for Flair.
According to a report by PWInsider, Flair was scheduled for a cameo on the show but is no longer expected to attend. No explanation has been provided for the change. Fans of The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express have more to look forward to, as the tag team is also set to make an appearance at Dynamite in Knoxville, Tennessee, on January 22nd.

What Did Ric Flair Say About The Possibility Of Him Wrestling Again?
Ric Flair spoke about wanting to wrestle for a final time and said that he desperately wanted to be a participant in Sting’s final match at Revolution in March last year. Whilst Flair did get involved in the bout, he spoke about how he wanted to play a more significant role, but Tony Khan refused to allow him to wrestle in a match when he found out that Flair was on blood thinning medication.
