On January 23rd, Monday Night Raw rolls into Philadelphia as the red brand celebrates it’s 30th anniversary, and Ric Flair is going to be there.
Traditionally WWE’s anniversary specials are packed with a number of top stars, big matches and a sprinkling of legends. With regard to the upcoming celebration, WWE have already confirmed that Roman Reigns, Austin Theory, Seth Rollins, Bayley, Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch and Bobby Lashley are all set to be involved.
Outside of the current roster it has also been reported that a number of legends will also be in attendance.
Kurt Angle has revealed that he had held talks over an appearance and it has also been noted that two other WWE Hall of Famers will also be at the show.
Ric Flair Reveals Plans For Hulk Hogan’s WWE Return?
Speaking on a recent episode of his podcast, To Be The Man, Ric Flair touched on the sad passing of announcer Don West. This led the Nature Boy to reminisce about his time in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling. During the conversation, Flair recalled working with Hulk Hogan before seeming revealing that Hogan will be at Raw 30th anniversary special. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer also reiterated his belief that Vince McMahon should be on the show.
Hulk Hogan hasn’t made a WWE appearance since co-hosting WrestleMania 37. The star was heavily booed by large sections of fans at the event.
“[Don West] Yeah, he’s a great guy. I can’t say enough. That’s the whole TNA thing, it ended up on kind of a bad note. But I I had a great time while I was there and met some wonderful people, James Storm and I remain close. And I love AJ Styles, I don’t get to see AJ that much. But Kurt Angle was there, Sting was there. I mean, for me, it was just a continuance of another opportunity to be around some great people.
Hulk [Hogan] was there, I enjoyed hanging out with Hulk. He was going through some major back issues back then. But you know, it’s now I talked to Hulk, I’ll see Hulk on the 30th, or the 23rd. I can’t wait. So I hope Vince is on the show, too. I was on the first Raw. I was on the first and second Raw and that’s when I left on the 2nd Raw, to go back to WCW.”
One star who now won’t be on the show is Ronda Rousey. After previously being advertised she has seemingly been pulled from the event.
