Ric Flair Claims He Struggled To Be A Babyface Because He’s “Terrible” At Being Humble

By Lyle Kilbane. Published 9th December 2021.

WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair has discussed why he always preferred embracing his villainous side rather than being a hero as The Nature Boy says being humble was not his forte.

Flair’s ‘Dirtiest Player In The Game’ moniker didn’t occur by accident as the 16 time champion of the world spent most of his career looking for every crooked trick he could to come out of bouts with a victory.

Whether it was the eighties and nineties when Ric Flair surrounded himself with a herd of Horseman or the new millennium where Flair had Evolution on his side, The Nature Boy couldn’t help being so good at being bad.

Now speaking on his Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast, Ric Flair has explained why being a heel in the wrestling world came so much more naturally to him than being a beloved babyface:

”I do not want to be humble. I am terrible going out ‘I hope I can do this I hope I can do that’, I would rather say I am this and I am that. All the stuff that came so naturally to me, the arrogance and the way that I live my life, it is very hard to do that and still come across someone very humble.”

Ric Flair has also recently discussed a former WWE Champion that Flair says wanted him gone from the business in the early nineties.
