Ric Flair Set To Launch New Podcast

According to a new report WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is set to launch a new podcast alongside Mark Madden.

Ric Flair is set to launch a new podcast with Mark Madden called the Wooooo Nation show. If that name sounds familiar it’s because Flair hosted a podcast of the same name through 2015 and 2016.

The 16-time World Champion has a longstanding relationship with Madden going back in a number decades. The new show will reportedly be focussed towards pro wrestling but will also discuss the top sports stories of the moment.

The first episode of the podcast will be released on November 17th. The show will be hosted by Podcast Heat, which is also set to be the home of Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw featuring Gerald Brisco and John “Bradshaw” Layfield.

Ric Flair was released by WWE in August before going on to appear for AAA alongside his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo. Flair also made an appearance at NWA 73 delivering a speech thanking those who had played a part in his career.

The podcast marks Flair’s first significant new project since he was seemingly accused of sexual assault by an air stewardess on an episode of Dark Side of the Ring addressing the ‘Plane ride from hell.’

The ‘Plane Ride from Hell’ took place following the UK exclusive pay-per-view Insurrextion in May 2002. During the now infamous flight, several performers were involved in incidents that would result in fines, lawsuits and, in the cases of Scott Hall and Curt Hennig, releases from the company.

Following the airing of the episode, a Car Shield commercial featuring Flair was “paused,” while his merchandise was removed by WWE and his signature “Wooooooo!” was removed from WWE’s opening TV package.

It should be noted that Ric Flair denied all of the allegations made against him.
