Ric Flair Responds To Becky Lynch, Says He Sold ‘The Man’ Trademark Out Of Respect For Her

Ric Flair has issued a blistering response to Becky Lynch after The Man said the WWE Hall Of Famer’s recent Tweet aimed at her was “sad.”

Lynch was speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour when she issued a scathing statement on Charlotte Flair following the ill-fated title exchange between the women, going as far as to call the SmackDown Women’s Champion an “a**hole.”

Becky Lynch was asked if she was fearful that Charlotte Flair was going to “shoot” on her at Survivor Series and that’s when Lynch addressed Ric Flair’s recent comments and gave her thoughts on the 16-time champion of the world:

“That’s what her dad said she was going to do. I saw that tweet. I looked at it and wrote out a response that would have really been quite biting and I deleted it and let it go because I think it’s really sad. This is a legend who is now jealous of me.”

“It’s cool for me. He’s now trying to use me to get clout and promote whatever he has because he’s dug himself into a hole with other things. I was like, ‘let me let him have it,’ because it’s kind of sad.”

Now Ric Flair has issued his own response to Lynch on social media while mentioning that he sold ‘The Man’ trademark to WWE out of “respect” to the Irish star:

“So Disappointed! I Did This Out Of Respect For You @BeckyLynchWWE! It Made You Millions & Made Me Nothing. After 40 Years Of Being The Man… The Company Doesn’t Own It, And Neither Do You! I’ll Always Be The Man! Ask Your Husband.”

Becky Lynch will go one-on-one with Charlotte Flair for the first time since December 2019 when the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champions meet in a battle for brand supremacy at Survivor Series.
