Ric Flair thinks a current Raw star is in the upper echelon of wrestling today!
No stranger to success in wrestling, Ric Flair has proven himself as one of the most influential men to step inside the squared circle as both a 16 time World Champion and a two time WWE Hall of Famer.
During a recent episode of his To Be the Man podcast (available early via AdFreeShows), Flair spoke about some of the men he worked with during his time in TNA. He touched on Bobby Roode and James Storm before touting AJ Styles as one of the top five in the business today, while also giving praise to AEW star Sting.
“I’ve remained great friends with James Storm, I haven’t seen Bobby [Roode] in a while. But I think the world of AJ Styles, I think he’s one of the top four or five guys in the business today. And of course Sting, he’s an icon and still doing it and doing it a pretty high level.”
On the most recent episode of Monday Night Raw, AJ Styles was approached by Finn Balor about his proposition that Styles join The Judgment Day along with Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, and their newest recruit Dominik Mysterio. Styles denied the invitation, but Balor cited their history together, alluding to the fact that they were both part of Bullet Club in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
