Ric Flair has lavished praise on Randy Orton, hailing The Viper as the best performer in the world today.
The Nature Boy Ric Flair and Randy Orton have one hell of history together. Flair was by Orton’s side in Evolution as he made his first significant steps onto the main roster in 2003, even teaming with the young star to take on The Rock and Mick Foley at WrestleMania 20.
However, when the group eventually split later in 2004, Flair and Orton found themselves on opposing sides in the ring, even meeting in a Cage Match at Taboo Tuesday. The pair tangled again at Judgement Day in 2009, before reconciling in the summer of 2020. Despite this, Orton later turned on Flair delivering his trademark punt to the head.
Outside of the ring, Ric Flair has repeatedly expressed his admiration for Orton who currently stands just two wins short of equalling his record 16 World Championship reigns.
Taking to social media after Orton’s latest appearance on Monday Night Raw, Flair hailed The Viper as the best in the world today.
.@RandyOrton, No Matter What Scenario You Are In, 20 Years Later, You Remain The Best Performer In The Business Today!

On the December 27th episode of Raw, WWE’s resident odd-couple kept up their momentum with victories over both Otis and Chad Gable. Randy Orton and Riddle had opened with the show, with one of their now signature promos before being interrupted by Gable and Otis.
After some verbal back and forth it was decided that Riddle would take on Chad Gable. The former United States Champion eventually picking up the win with the Floating Bro. During the clash between Otis and Orton, the story centred around The Viper trying and failing to land his signature RKO. But despite his best efforts, Otis eventually became Orton’s next victim after missing a Vader Bomb which left him wide open for the feared RKO.
