Ric Flair On Vince McMahon – “I Don’t Care What He Does. He’s My Hero”

Ric Flair

There are very few who love Vince McMahon like Ric Flair.

Ever since McMahon ‘retired’ from WWE in July 2022 surrounded by allegations of sexual misconduct, Flair has consistently come to his defence. This has continued since McMahon made a controversial return to WWE in January 2023, forcing himself back onto the Board of Directors.

Since then, McMahon has been heavily involved in making a deal between WWE and Endeavor, the owners of UFC. The two sides have entered into a transaction agreement with a deal expected to be finalised later in 2023. As part of the deal, WWE will merge with UFC.

During an appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience, Flair discussed the sale of WWE and his feelings toward Vince McMahon. The Nature Boy said that McMahon has always treated him well, adding that he doesn’t care what anyone says, McMahon is his hero.

“Flair: I just can’t see Vince taking orders. That will be a strange one for me if someone tried to tell Vince what the hell to do.

Rogan: Who the fuck knows more about wrestling than that guy?

Flair: Nobody

Rogan: When he was getting involved in scandals and there was girls that he paid off. I just wanted to say, duh! Duh! You have an 80-year-old savage who is built like a fucking gladiator. Gee, you think he fucks? You think Vince McMahon is doing that for hee-hees and haw-haws? No, of course he has some floosies on the side.

Flair: He’s my hero.

Rogan: He’s an animal.

Flair: I judge people by how they treat me and he has treated me like…I’ve never had anyone treat me with more respect in this business.

Rogan: That’s awesome.

Flair: He’s a great guy. I don’t care what he does. He’s my hero.

Rogan: Before him, there was no one of that caliber. There was no one who put together an organization as big as WWF.

Flair: No. He’s got balls bigger than fucking Dallas, Texas. He’s not easily intimidated”

Ric Flair Deleted Social Media Post Following Backlash

Ric Flair recently came under fire on social media for a photo he shared by the bedside of Steve “Mongo” McMichael. The former NFL and WCW star revealed he had been diagnosed with ALS in April 2021, and the degenerative condition has left him paralysed from the shoulders down.

In the post, Flair wrote that Mongo is “stronger than anyone we know,” and posed for a photo with the star’s wife Misty at his bedside.

Many fans were quick to call out Flair for his apparent cheerful, all-smiles demeanour, next to McMichael lying in bed attached to medical equipment.
