WWE legend Ric Flair finds himself a part of this iconic list.
During the ongoing promotion of their latest film, ‘The Accountant 2’, actors Jon Bernthal and Ben Affleck named the greatest wrestlers of all time. In an interview on Complex’s ‘Goat Talk’, Bernthal and Affleck named several iconic wrestlers to make up their list.
Mostly selecting popular wrestlers of the previous era, Academy Award-winning actor Ben Affleck included ‘The Nature Boy’ on his list.
Jon Bernthal: “Oh man, I got a couple on that one. I would say the Junkyard Dog. The motherfucking D. I would say Hillbilly Jim. I really like Macho Man and I also really like Roddy Piper.”
Ben Affleck: “I was going to go Ric Flair.”
Jon Bernthal:: “Ric Flair was, you know, he’s great.”
Ben Affleck : “Piper is great. Sergeant Slaughter. The Iron Sheik was like definitely the classic.”
Jon Bernthal: “Big John Stud.”
Ben Affleck: “Big John Stud, yeah.”
Jon Bernthal: “That’s a conspiracy — You know Leaping Lanny Poffo, do you remember him? He passed and that’s Randy Savage’s brother. Did you know that, they were brothers and both wrestlers. It’s kind of a conspiracy theory about what happened to him.”

Coincidentally, while the two actors included several legendary names in their list, one name missing from it, Kurt Angle, happens to be Jon Bernthal’s uncle-in-law.
