John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield returned to WWE television on the October 17th edition of Monday Night Raw assuming the role of Baron Corbin’s manager. However, it appears that Ric Flair was less than happy to see the former World Champion.
On the most recent, November 7th episode of the red brand, JBL came to the ring to introduce Corbin to the crowd ahead of his match with Cedric Alexander. The bout itself proved to be a short affair with Corbin picking up the win in a little over two minutes. However, seemingly in response to the appearance from his fellow WWE Hall of Famer, Flair took to social media to air his frustration.
Ric Flair Slams WWE Over Their Use Of JBL
In the post on Twitter, Flair claimed that it was a joke that JBL is used on WWE television while the company is fronting an anti-bullying campaign. During his in-ring career, Bradshaw was known for his uncompromising style, which also allegedly transferred backstage. There have been claims from a number of people that across his WWE tenure JBL openly bullied fellow wrestlers and personalities. In his tweet, Flair referenced claims that the former World Champion had targeted Justin Roberts and Joey Styles in the past.
“I Guess The Anti Bullying Program You So Heavily Endorsed Does Not Apply To Bradshaw [JBL]!! Jason [Meant Justin] Roberts And Joey Styles!! What A Joke! And He’s In The HOF! Sad!”

Earlier in the night Flair had thanked WWE on social media for adding him back into their opening signature after it appeared that he had been removed for a second time. The Nature Boy was initially removed from the opening package back in September 2021 following allegations made in an episode of Dark Side of the Ring investigating the ‘Plane ride from Hell.’ In the episode, an air stewardess alleged that she was sexually harassed by Flair. The star was later added back in, but appeared to be missing once again at WWE Crown Jewel on November 5th 2022.
