Ric Flair has declared his love for Vince McMahon, despite the former WWE Chairman facing fresh allegations of sexual assault. In amongst a new report it was also revealed that McMahon also intends to return to WWE despite retiring in July.
The report claims that McMahon has told those around him that he only stepped down due to “bad advice.” However, he now wishes he would have remained as Chairman, believing that the controversy, and allegations surrounding him would have died down.
Ric Flair Throws His Loyalty Behind Vince McMahon
On the most recent episode of his podcast, To Be The Man, Ric Flair was asked about the new report and said that he will never say a negative word about McMahon. The Nature Boy said that McMahon should be allowed to return to WWE if he wants to.
“Well, you know, you’re not going to get a negative word out of me. I love Vince McMahon. And I think that I think he should, you know, he’s entitled to whatever he wants. And, you know, shame on the people that don’t think so. He built it, nobody else built it, nobody helped him. He fought every war.”
In the same report, it was revealed that McMahon is also facing fresh allegations of sexual assault, while also refusing to pay damages to the woman involved. He is also refusing to meet legal demands from former WWE referee Rita Chatterton related to an alleged sexual assault in 1986.
Vince McMahon retired from his role with WWE in July 2022 following a string of sexual misconduct claims were made against him, while it is alleged that he paid more than $12 million in secret settlements to supress the allegations.
