For months Ric Flair has been talking up a new documentary that has been produced by Peacock, involving a number of huge WWE names.
Flair has promised that the film will right the wrongs of the famous “30 for 30″ ESPN special about his life which was released in 2017. The new project titled “Woooo! Becoming Ric Flair,” has been promoted by the man himself as the most honest look into his life and wrestling career ever.
Ric Flair Documentary Coming In 2022
It has now been revealed that the documentary will premiere on December 26th. As noted in the official press release, the feature will include interviews with Hulk Hogan, Mike Tyson, Charlotte Flair, Post Malone and Steven A. Smith.
Looking ahead to the release, Flair said that he was thrilled to have partnered with WWE and Peacock once again.
“Many stories have been told about The Nature Boy over the past 50 years. I’m thrilled to have partnered with WWE and Peacock to produce the most accurate depiction of my life to date and hope audiences enjoy the ride. Woooo!”
Rod Aissa, EVP of Unscripted Content for NBCUniversal added:
“Very few people have professional careers as storied as Ric Flair. We can’t wait to give Peacock audiences this revealing, in-depth and often raw look into the life of one of sports and wrestling’s most controversial icons.”
Speaking on his podcast, To Be The Man, Flair recently stated that the documentary was the best thing he’s ever produced on television. He added that the film “pulled no punches” with the final result leaving him “blown away.”
While Ric Flair hasn’t been under WWE contract since August 2021, the Hall of Famer’s daughter remains of their biggest female stars. The Queen has been absent from the ring since May, but recently hinted that she could be back in action very soon.
