Ric Flair has slammed WWE President Nick Khan and says Khan is the reason that he won’t ever return to WWE and says Khan lacks respect for him.
Flair has been outspoken on a number of issues since he parted ways with WWE in the summer. He recently accused the company of trying to erase his legacy on social media and The Nature Boys has recently exchanged words with current Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.
Now speaking on his Woooo Nation UNCENSORED podcast, Ric Flair discussed why he’ll never return to WWE for stint number 4 and says he feels disrespected after the company removed him from the signature introduction of their shows. A move he blames squarely on one man:
“I couldn’t ever work for Nick Khan in my entire life. Vince McMahon, I could work for, but Nick Khan, who’s the guy that orchestrated taking me off the [signature intro of the] show. I’ve got my facts together, orchestrated taking the ‘WOOO!’ off, never in a million years.”
“Well, the big difference between Tony Khan and — Tony respects me. As does Vince. Nick Khan has none. I talk to Vince now. I got no problems with Vince. He just knows I won’t come back.”
“Let me just tell you something else that should not shock the world. When I saw that they took me off the opening and all that for whatever reason, you know, Who knows? I call it a lack of respect. Some people, some people said to me, ‘Ric, how do you feel about that? I said, ‘Well after they asked me to sign my intellectual property to them while I was on life support, nothing that company does surprises me.’”
Ric Flair recently suggested that he could help pop a rating for AEW with the help of a microphone and a face-to-face meeting with CM Punk.
