Since making his debut in 1972 Ric Flair has seen a remarkable number of wrestlers come and go, with some enjoying much more success than others.
Speaking on a recent episode of his podcast, To Be The Man, Flair revealed that he has been impressed with two celebrities turned wrestlers in recent months.
Logan Paul took his first steps in WWE in the leadup to WrestleMania 37 before competing on his first match a year later. Since then the YouTube star has wrestled at SummerSlam, Crown Jewel, and at the Royal Rumble. During this period he has earned plaudits from fans and those within the industry for his performances. Although he brother Jake is yet to wrestle a match of his own, he’s expressed a desire to get involved in the future while he made a cameo at Crown Jewel.
Flair said he was a big fan of the brothers who are already better than a number of full-time stars.
“Oh, hell yeah. He’s great. Both of those kids are better than some of the guys that do it full-time for a living. I’ll stand by that comment all day long. Until you told me last week that Shawn was training Logan, which now makes sense, I thought, ‘God, the guy’s just got incredible, natural ability. I think they’re big and they draw money. That’s all there is to it. Draw money,”
Ric Flair Names Dream WWE Opponent
Over the course of his career, Ric Flair wrestled many of the best to ever do it, meaning that if there were any dream matches out there, he likely had them. However, despite his career now being over, the itch to test himself against the very best remains.
Speaking on his podcast, the Nature Boy said he would have loved to have had the chance to wrestle Roman Reigns, mainly because he’d be the last big name left.
