Ric Flair Believes One WWE Moment Would Be Bigger Than John Cena Breaking Championship Record

Ric Flair has given his thoughts on John Cena’s upcoming return, the WWE Championship record and his daughter Charlotte Flair.

As recognised by WWE, Flair and Cena each have 16 World Championship reigns to their name, more than any other wrestler in company history. With Cena set to return to wrestling in 2025 for one final run, many have theorised that the Hollywood star will win a 17th championship and be recognised as the Greatest of All Time, a phrase which has been uttered many times on commentary,

Although Flair has previously stated that he has no issue with Cena breaking his long-standing record, he doesn’t think it will happen. During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, The Nature Boy declared that Cena has no interest in winning another World Championship:

“John Cena doesn’t want to break a record. He doesn’t give a sh*t about that. He’s in a different world now. Wrestling will always be his passion but he doesn’t care [about breaking the record].”

In recent news, speculation has been made about who John Cena’s first opponent will be on his retirement tour.

Ric Flair Believes Charlotte Flair Will Win 17 Championships

Although Flair does not foresee Cena winning the title one more time, he is predicting that 14-time Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair will eventually break the record, which the Hall of Famer also believes will be the biggest event in history:

“I still think the biggest thing in the business when it happens…is her [Charlotte] breaking the title record…”

Flair added to his previous point, once again hailing the SmackDown star as the greatest in the current era:

“I just think it’s a woman’s world now and she’s the best woman wrestler alive and I think this time off, as unfortunate as it was because of the severity of the injury, I think she’s been able to sit back and realize just how damn good she is. I guarantee you when she walks back in the door of whatever arena…it’s gonna be a gamechanger guys. I’ll bet $10,000 that the best match she wrestles if it’s a good opponent, will get the highest woman’s rating in a long time in a singles match.”

According to a recent report, Charlotte Flair’s WWE return looks to be approaching fast.
