Ric Flair Believes 2 AEW Stars Are “Sensational” But Charlotte Flair Remains Number One

Ric Flair Believes 2 AEW Stars Are

Ric Flair has a lot of praise for an AEW tag team, but Charlotte Flair remains his favourite.

The 16-time World Champion became All Elite in November 2023 when it was revealed that Ric Flair had signed a multi-year deal with AEW in conjunction with his Wooooo Energy drink. Initially announced as a gift to Sting by Tony Khan, Flair stood alongside his long-time friend and rival until Revolution 2024, the location for Sting’s final match.

Having now been a part of the promotion for 6 months, Flair has been impressed with many stars of the promotion but his daughter remains the favourite.

While being interviewed by J.P. Acosta of SB Nation, The Nature Boy was asked who his favourite wrestlers are in the modern era, which saw Flair describe The Young Bucks as “absolutely sensational”:

“Well number one would be my daughter [Charlotte Flair], of course. But Randy [Orton], AJ [Styles]. I mean I like a lot of guys, like MJF. It’s hard to pick out four or five guys, but I mean we got great, great talent in both companies. You know, it’s hard to say who’s the best but I have some favorites. The Young Bucks are just absolutely sensational. What a phenomenal match they gave Sting and Darby [Allin]. (Laughing) Darby is too much, man. Orange Cassidy is one of my favorites. I mean, all those guys are great, wonderful people.”

Ric Flair Issues Apology

Despite being one of the biggest names in WCW, Flair was not featured in the recent VICE docuseries Who Killed WCW? which saw many of the top stars and executives from the company let their feelings be known about their time in the promotion. After initially calling out a “three-headed monster” that he believed was responsible for WCW’s demise, Ric Flair later retracted his statement and apologised.
