Rhea Ripley has officially joined Team Shotzi to do battle against Team LaRae at NXT Takeover: WarGames on December 6th.
The news comes hot on the heels of Ember Moon declaring her own war on Team LaRae. During the video clip you can see below, Shotzi Blackheart is repairing her broken tank, when Rhea Ripley swaggers into view, declaring that “every tank needs a weapon,” as the two join forces.

There had been speculation that Ripley was done with the black and gold brand following her defeat to Lo Shirai on the November 18th edition of the show, but it appears that she will be staying put at least in the short term. Her addition to Team Shotzi comes after being left laying, along with Shirai, by Team LaRea on the latest episode of NXT as she addressed her future with the brand.
Ripley has fond memories of WarGames after leading her team to victory against Team Baszler in the first ever women’s WarGames match just 12 months ago. In response to her addition to this years event Ripley ominously declared that she was heading home.
While Team Shotzi still has one free spot remaining, Team LaRae is already set with Candice being joined by Raquel Gonzalez, Dakota Kai and Toni Storm. However, after being left battered and bruised alongside Ripley last week it is expected that NXT Women’s Champion Lo Shirai will step in and complete the line up.
The current card for WarGames looks like this:
- The Kings of NXT vs. The Undisputed Era – WarGames Match
- Team Shotzi vs. Team LeRae – WarGames Match
- Leon Ruff vs. Damian Priest vs. Johnny Gargano – NXT North American Championship Match
- Dexter Lumis vs. Cameron Grimes – Strap Match
