As has become a tradition on the NXT live event circuit every Halloween, two Battle Royals were held at separate events in lieu of the spookiest night of the year. While the women’s contest featured a number of brilliant costumes, such as Mandy Rose as Nikki Bella and Cora Jade as AJ Lee, it was the men’s bout that caught Rhea Ripley’s attention.
The match, won by Josh Briggs, saw Dante Chen dressed as ‘The Eradicator’ of The Judgement Day. According to Ripley herself, Chen “killed” his performance as the one-time NXT Women’s Champion.

Dante Chen has since taken to Twitter, thanking those involved in bringing his costume to life. Fellow NXT Superstars Sloane Jacobs, Jakara Jackson, Tatum Paxley, and Erica Yan are to thank, as well as Rhea Ripley herself for the t-shirt.
Rhea Ripley Was A Top Star In NXT
Prior to her official main roster arrival in early 2021, Rhea Ripley was one of NXT’s biggest Superstars. Her victory of the NXT Women’s Championship over Shayna Baszler on the brand’s December 18, 2019 broadcast remains her biggest highlight.
Other notable happenings for Ripley her Survivor Series weekend performance from that same year. First defeating Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks on SmackDown, ‘The Nightmare’ won the women’s WarGames match for her team at a 4-2 disadvantage, before being one of the survivors for Team NXT in the inter-brand women’s Elimination match.
Currently aligned with Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Dominik Mysterio in The Judgement Day, Rhea Ripley made headlines on Twitter during Monday Night Raw’s October 24 broadcast. Ahead of Balor, Priest, and Mysterio facing The OC at WWE Crown Jewel, Ripley showed off her true strength, effortlessly bodyslamming Luke Gallows.
Rhea recently made her return to televised competition on NXT, defeating Roxanne Perez as part of a Pick Your Poison challenge, having been handpicked by Cora Jade.
