Rhea Ripley Addresses Injury Rumours Ahead Of WrestleMania 40

Rhea Ripley is proud of this new champion.

At the recently concluded Saturday Night’s Main Event, Chelsea Green defeated Mia Yim to become the first-ever Women’s United States Champion. Green created history as she became the first-ever WWE women’s mid-card champion.

As WWE shared multiple backstage photos from the event, fans witnessed a warm, heartfelt moment between Green and Mami. Green was captured embracing Ripley and sharing her joy, moments after the title win.

Reacting to the photo, the new champion wrote on X (Twitter),

RR is queen.”

In a response to Green’s comments, Ripley stated:

Proud Mami.

Moments after the title win, Chelsea Green opened up to Bryon Saxton in a backstage interview and claimed that she has worked her entire life to become successful.

Well, Brian, I always knew this was going to happen, so I know you’re surprised, and that’s so cute, but I’m not. I’ve been doing this for 10 years. I worked my entire life to be an overnight success, and this is my time. This is my night, red, white, and Green.

Duh.’ I’m in the history books where I belong. I should have been there 3 years ago, but I was released. I should have been there in 2015, but I wasn’t hired. So now is the time. Now is the freaking time!”

While Green is enjoying her first singles title win, Ripley is engaged in a feud against Liv Morgan. Morgan and Ripley are scheduled to face each other for the Women’s Championship on 6th January 2025 on Raw’s Netflix premiere.

Triple H Names Rhea Ripley And Others As Superheroes In WWE

During an appearance on The Roommates Show, Paul Levesque aka Triple H opened up on the recent trend of wrestlers joining Hollywood, especially for action and superhero roles. Speaking on the matter, he further revealed Rhea Ripley and a few superstars as real-life superheroes on the roster.

Wrestling is accepted now. If somebody goes and does a movie or TV film, it’s so accepted to where it’s not, ‘What’s this wrestler doing in this movie?’ Now, they can sort of fit in and people are more accepted of it.

I think over the years, you’ll see some of that. Guys like Roman Reigns, and some of our women too. Rhea Ripley or people like that. Especially with action movies and the superhero genre, if Rhea Ripley is not a superhero, I’m not sure who is. Bianca Belair is another. Jade Cargill. If they’re not superheroes, what is?”
