Rhea Ripley Injured; What Does This Mean For The WWE Women’s World Championship?

WWE Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley

According to a new report, Rhea Ripley is injured.

As of April 15th, Rhea Ripley has reigned as WWE Women’s World Champion for 380 days. After the events of WrestleMania 40, she’s the longest-reigning current champion on the WWE roster, but now it looks as though her title reign might be in jeopardy.

According to a new report from PWInsider, Ripley suffered an injury during the April 8th episode of Monday Night Raw. While she didn’t wrestle on the show, Ripley was involved in a backstage brawl with Liv Morgan at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, and this is where the injury occurred.

Continuing, the report notes that sources close to the situation indicated to PWInsider that the injury is severe, and talk within the company suggests Ripley may be forced to relinquish her Women’s World Championship, possibly as soon as the April 15th episode of Raw.

There is no word in the report as to the exact nature of Ripley’s injury. Inside the Ropes will continue to report as more information becomes available.
