After turning his life around following a lengthy and harrowing day in prison, “ex-con Dom” is primed for Royal Rumble glory thanks to Rhea Ripley.
Since the pair joined forces as part of Judgment Day they have made quite the team. After all, isn’t the foundation of any great relationship built on attacking your partner’s family on major holidays?
With the Royal Rumble moving ever closer, it turns out that Dominik has been getting some tips on how to win the match from “Mommy.” Rhea Ripley famously came within inches of winning the women’s Rumble in 2021, only to lose out to Bianca Belair. Meanwhile, she has been in unstoppable form since joining Judgment Day in mid-2022.
“I’m Proud Of My Dom-Dom” – Rhea Ripley
In a new video shared by WWE, Ripley is seen working with Dominik in the ring as she tries to prepare him for the big night. In the clip, the Aussie star praises Dominik for being a quick learner while questioning why Rey Mysterio “didn’t try more with him.” She added that Rey wasn’t teaching him the ways of the world, but she’s now so proud of “her Dom-Dom.” For his part, Dominik said that Ripley had taught him a lot, including “some things he can’t talk about.”
Dominik Mysterio was most recently in action on the January 23rd episode of Monday Night Raw where he teamed with Damian Priest to take on The Usos. While Judgment Day had been on a fine run of late, a Raw Tag Team Title reign wasn’t meant to be, at least for now.
During the match, Jimmy Uso went down with an injury and was replaced by Sami Zayn. The Honorary Uce was still feeling the pressure after a heated confrontation with Roman Reigns and was determined not to fail. In the end, Zayn and Jey Uso grabbed the win after hitting the 1D on Dominik.
