Rhea Ripley Details Vince McMahon Conversation After Women’s Title Win

By the time the curtain came down on WrestleMania 37, the women’s division’s of both RAW and SmackDown both had new champions with Rhea Ripley and Bianca reigning supreme.

While Bianca Belair was crowned SmackDown Women’s Champion in the main event of night one, Rhea Ripley dethroned Asuka less than 24-hours later.

Reflecting on the biggest win of her career, Ripley has recalled being congratulated by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. The Nightmare described the match as dream come true, but also how being congratulated by WWE’s head honcho meant a lot to her.

Speaking to TV Insider, Ripley said that her conversation with McMahon was something that stands out, describing it as “surreal.”

“One of the big ones was talking to Vince McMahon afterward, hearing him say “well done” and that I did great. It was so surreal. It’s a dream, and I’m living it. To have the big bossman say well done was pretty insane to me.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Ripley recalled being given advice by Paul Heyman. The Aussie star recalled Heyman telling her “You can stay humble, but don’t stay silent” in the lead up to her WrestleMania match.

Meanwhile, after being attacked by a returning Charlotte Flair on RAW, Ripley appeared on the most recent episode of NXT alongside Bianca Belair to toast their successes with new NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez.
